About Training and Placement Activity
Placement training plays a major role in shaping up the career goals of students. It is the dream of every pharmacy student to get placed in a top organization visiting their campus for recruitment. Keeping this key aspect into consideration, it is realized that training is important for pharmacy students to enhance their employability skills and achieve good placement in various industry.
At present, the competition for employment is increasing every day and placement has become a challenging task. Training of students and equipping them with life skills has become an important responsibility of the institution. Along with technical expertise, development of a holistic personality is also necessary. To meet out these requirements, a fully fledged training cell is operating in our college to enhance the capabilities of pharmacy graduates on par with the industry standards.

Scope
Training and Placement Cell plays a vital role and is committed to provide all possible assistance to its graduates, post-graduates and research students in their efforts to find employment/ seek higher education. The benefits of this assistance would be reflected in the preparation of NMU students to secure lucrative and esteemed positions in all fields.
Cell regularly arrange Group discussion, Pre campus placement training and aptitude test for pharmacy student to have better prospect and career growth. it also organizes the visit to pharmaceutical industries for up gradation of current scenario in the technology of pharma sector.
Objectives
T & P Cell is committed to meet the career objectives of students and cater to the Human Resource needs of Organizations interested in conducting campus interviews for placements of University Students.
The prime objective of the Training Cell are –
- To look for 100% employment for all students.
- To recognize the core competencies of the students.
- To train the students to meet the expectations of the industry through our Career Development Programmes.
- To build confidence in students and develop right attitude in them and
- To enhance their communication skills.
Activities of T & P Cell
- Lectures by experts on interview skills and soft skill development were organized.
- Arranged workshops on Group Discussion and Interview Skills.
- Networked with different Industries to create industry institute interaction.
- Also conducted seminars to make the students aware of the latest trends in various areas.
- To sign MOU’s with various organizations.
- Before each recruitment drive a specific training session was arranged to help the students concentrate on the specific skills required for that Industry.
- To promote staff participation in training program related to preparation of students for current requirement and trends of industries.
- Create awareness about “career planning” and “career mapping” among the students.
- Equip the student with life skills.
- Train the students on “Personality development”.
- Organize Various Training Programmes to train the students in the areas of Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Verbal reasoning through the reputed external training organizations and in-house trainers.
- Train the students through Mock Interviews to perform well in the professional interviews as per the expectations of the corporate world.

- Conduct online tests and written aptitude tests.
